The
Oklahoma Academy of Medical Speech-Language Pathologists was
founded in 1989. Its purpose is to provide a forum for
Speech-Language Pathologists working in the medical setting.
The organization provides a welcome environment for the exchange
of ideas, furthering education, and meeting
professionals with similar interests. The organization currently
meets at least quarterly at various facilities throughout the
Oklahoma City Metro area. These meetings, open to a state-wide
membership, allow the opportunity for Speech-Language
Pathologists and those in related disciplines to become more involved
with our growing professions. The organization also presents an
Annual Conference on topics of interest to the membership and
provides this website to disseminate information and maintain
communication with members, other professionals, and the public.
